Dear Confirmation Candidates, Sponsors, and Families,
As you know, for some time now we’ve been preparing to celebrate the beautiful and important Sacrament of Confirmation this Wednesday.
Unfortunately, we have heard from a good number of candidates who are sick, and sponsors and family members who are unable to safely travel due to winter weather. We do not know, of course, what tomorrow’s weather will hold, and there is no guarantee at this point that even Bishop Rivituso would be able to attend. Accordingly, after careful discernment, we have decided to POSTPONE Confirmation. We will NOT celebrate Confirmation this Wednesday, February 12.
Fortunately, we were able to find a different date that worked both for Bishop Rivituso’s schedule and our Parish. Confirmation this year will be Monday, March 3rd. We will take the picture beforehand in the gym as planned, beginning at 6:45pm.
If you are unable to accommodate this new date, please let me know ASAP.
We are saddened to postpone the reception of this beautiful Sacrament for students but appreciate your understanding as we work together to keep everyone safe.
