Our parish mission statement is: Loved by God, we love this world. What does that look like? It is our goal that people can experience God’s love every time they walk through the doors here. How do we have to treat one another for that to be a reality? Parishioners and leadership groups were all asked these important questions and invited to give their feedback. Our Staff and Parish Council summarized everyone’s thoughts into 5 commitments that we call The Most Sacred Heart Way.
- I will joyfully do my part to help create an environment where ALL are welcome.
- If I have concerns with someone, I will bring my concerns to THAT person, and in a respectful way.
- If I hurt anyone I will apologize, and I will work to forgive those who hurt me.
- I will support my parish through my daily prayer; loving service; financial generosity; and active participation at weekly Mass.
- I will respect the wisdom of past traditions and be open to new ideas and perspectives.
We invite everyone who is in the parish now, as we will all who will arrive in the future, to live in a way that reflects the values we call “The Most Sacred Heart Way.” May Christ’s love indeed be known in our every gathering!
