It is obvious to anyone who walks through the doors at Most Sacred Heart that our Church is beautiful. However, as beautiful as our church building is, the true beauty is in what it holds. For it holds Love. Our mission statement says it so well: Loved by God, we love this world. The real beauty comes from you and by how you live it. Thank you for all the goodness you pour into our parish and community, both seen and unseen.

The Feast of The Most Sacred Heart is celebrated 19 days after Pentecost. It is a devotion to Jesus’ physical heart and the celebration of his great love for us. Enjoy celebrating in any of the many ways below! Happy Feast Day!

Ways to Celebrate

Participate in a virtual tour of our beautiful church (either after Mass or virtually). We will recommit ourselves to The Most Sacred Heart Way at all Masses the weekend of June 6-7.

Jesus Has a Place in Your Home: Enthronement Ceremony – We invite you and your family to take part in a simple but meaningful Enthronement Ceremony in your home. The enthronement of the Sacred Heart is a way of welcoming Jesus into the center of family life. Your home becomes a visible reminder of Christ’s endless love around us and in us each day. This prayerful ceremony can be done by families of all sizes and ages and is a beautiful way to deepen your connection to the Sacred Heart while extending our parish celebration into your home.

For Kids – Celebrating the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus with children is a beautiful way to teach them about Christ’s boundless love. Explore with the kids in your life the ideas below to help them understand more about Jesus and his heart which is full of mercy and constant care for all of us. Activities include: pointing out statues on campus and what they represent, meal-time fun themed snacks, a short video explaining symbols; a prayer; and a paper bag puppet craft!

For Adults – To celebrate this special day, choose to explore one or more of the options below (prayer, table talk, share your love with others, and/or a 3-minute mini retreat).

Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus – Together with parishes across the country, on June 11, 2026, the U.S. bishops will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Our parish will honor this day with:

  • 7:30am Mass with Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, then Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament immediately after Mass
  • 8am-7pm Eucharistic Adoration
  • 7pm Prayer Service with a Prayer of Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, followed by Benediction with the Blessed Sacrament

All are welcome! May we imitate Jesus’ love for all God’s people and let us, as best we can, grasp the mystery of his love more clearly. May we experience his love and shine forth his love all the days of our lives.
