Since 1948 Sacred Heart Parish has operated a parochial school to pass on the Faith to the children of the Parish. This transfer of the Faith from one generation to the next is one of the goals given to the Catholic church by Christ Himself.
Besides providing religious education, sacramental preparation, liturgical experience and apostolic and charitable opportunities, Sacred Heart School is a
Blue Ribbon Accredited elementary school which provides an excellent and up-to-date secular education in a Catholic atmosphere. From pre-school to 8th grade, our students can favorably compare themselves to students in any other Catholic, parochial, private or public school.
Our dedicated and well-trained faculty is ably led by Monica Wilson, principal. The intimate setting of our Parish facilities lends itself to a solid and secure education where students know and are known well by everyone else. Even though our facilities have been recently expanded, we are committed to maintaining the Sacred Heart atmosphere which makes our school so special.
Parental involvement is a real asset at Sacred Heart - one which is greatly appreciated and which allows our school to accomplish so much.
Currently the Parish subsidizes the school budget by an estimated 40%. Tuition for the rest is collected on a payment basis rather than a church contribution basis. Those attending Sacred Heart School are expected to financially support the Parish to the best of their ability. While no child will be denied a Catholic education because of an inability to pay, everyone
must do his or her best. Special tuition arrangements can be made with the Pastor. No registration is complete and no records will be forwarded to another school until the previous year's tuition has been resolved. Families with children who want to attend Sacred Heart School must; be registered, active members of the parish; financially contribute to the support of the church; be willing to sign and abide by the terms of the school contract.
